US instant rebates on the A55, NEX-5 and VG10 (replacements coming soon?)


There have been new instant rebates on the Sony A55 camera. As you know last week we told you that there could be a new A57 (or A65) announcement in July. And rumors from new sources do suggest that also the NEX-5 and VG10 could be replaced (more on that as soon as I get info from trusted sources). The very interesting note is that those deals do end on July 9. And our sources told us that there coul be a press release on July 7 :)

Preorder the new Samyang/Rokinon/Wallimex 35mm f/1.4 manual lens for Alpha Mount.

I was wondering why I couldn’t find any preorder option of the new Samyang 35mm f/1.4 manual lens. Finally I discovered that in US and Europe the lens has a different “name”. It’s called Rokinon in US and sometimes called Wallimex in Europe (why?). You can preorder the lens for $499 at Amazon (Click here). Didn’t found the lens in european stores.

P.S.: The real bargain is the 85mm f/1.4 you can get for $274 on Amazon (Click here).

Sony US deals (Only one A850 left at Amazon, new Sony Flash discounted).

Soon the A850 will be impossible to find in other places than eBay. The biggest online US online stores like Adorama and Bhphoto already don’t have the camera in Stock anymore. You can find one single unit only at Amazon (Click here). As you see it’s cold via Samy’s camera. The same reseller is offering the Sony A55 in bundle with the 18-250mm lens (Click here).

Crazy: Minolta/Sony Alpha AF Bellows by Novoflex!

I found one of those for sale on [shoplink 6909 ebay]eBay (Click here)[/shoplink]. It has all the electrical contacts for the automation of the camera/lens/bellows system. The description says: “It’s a great accessory for close-up, macro, stereographic, and panoramic photography. It’s also perfectly suited for slide/negative & photo copying. It excels in hand-held indoor/outdoor, nature and macro photography, due to it’s automation, compact size and light weight. Other non auto bellows are generally too bulky and heavy for hand-held use.
