Here is a leaked image of the soon to be announced new Meike 85mm f/1.8 AF FE lens. As you can see on the image the wight is 388g. Price is rumored to be in the same ballpark of the current 55mm f/1.8 AF FE.
At last! I can confirm with 100% certainty that Sony will be announcing the new Sony A1II flagship camera and a new Sony 28-70mm f/2.0 GM zoom on November 19th at 2pm London time!
As for the specs of the Sony A1II, I’m still working on final confirmation so please be aware that I’m not 100% sure of the following details yet:

My take on the Sony A1II:
It will be hard to swallow the fact that this could be a $7,500-$8000 camera. But I’m told that Sony has improved every aspect of the camera and that the sum of the improvements and new features will make it a worthwhile upgrade. So let’s wait until I get the full detailed spec list before to draw conclusions.
My take on the Sony 28-70mm f/2.0:
My originally rumor from 10 months ago said this could be a 24-70mm f/2.0. But Sony is going for the 28-70mm probably to keep the size as small as possible. What do you think is this a god trade off for you?

CameraBeta leaked this image of an upcoming new Samyang 35mm lens. The aperture has not been mentioned but I guess it’s f/1.4. This could be a new version of the current Samyang 35mm f/1.4 FE lens?
Well folks, I’m very busy these days, but I’ve taken a day off tomorrow, October 29, to discuss the rumors about the Sony announcement on November 19. According to several trusted sources, Sony will unveil at least one new full-frame Alpha camera on November 19 (or November 20, depending on the time zone). The camera will be unveiled at the New York Creative Space event on November 20 and 21. There might be also a lens but this hasn’t been confirmed yet.
What can we hope to get? The most likely scenario si that we will get the either the Sony A1 or the Sony A7IV successor. And maybe the long time rumored 24-70mm f/2.0 GM. But I am always open for a surprise like a successor of this RX1rII model :)

Trusted sources told me that Sony has a new product launch event planned for the end of November. We are nearly certainly getting a new Full Frame E-mount camera and possibly also a new lens! The source did NOT give any details about what exactly will be announced.
But based on previous rumors, I know that these three products will likely be announced within the next 6-7 months:

My personal speculation is that we could get the Sony A1II and maybe the 24-70mm f/2.0 GM. But like I said, I don’t have any confirmation yet about the specific product names. And because we don’t know what’s coming, you can dream of your perfect camera/lens until reality disappoints you :)
