Other sources confirmed that on April 16 Sony should announce the 16-25mm f/2.8 G lens. I am now trying to get the date of the next two Sony announcement in May and June where we will get the ZV-E10, 85mm f/1.4 GMII and likely the 24-70mm f/2.0 GM.

Sorry my readers, this is my only way to contact back a trusted source that hared some updates on Sony’s roadmap. So here are my questions for him:

1. Any idea on the 24-70mm f/2.0 GM announcement timeframe?
2. The other lens info I heard for the first time…will try to dig into this ;)
3. I am eager to here about the Full Frame E-mount…
4. Did you hear some whispers about the new fixed lens camera(s) from Sony?

Four reliable sources confirm to me that the Sony 16-25mm f/2.8 G will be announced next week. And that should be it, there doesn’t seem to be anything else at that press event. The next big Sony event is scheduled for May (June at the latest). We will have the ZV-E10II, the 85mm f/1.4GMII and hopefully the 24-70mm f/2.0 GM.

But like I told you before, there is going to be MAJOR announcements right after the ZV-E10II. One of the cameras coming is a new FX, but there are also new Alpha cameras and maybe also one “surprise” ;)

• On April 11 at 9am pacific time Sony will announce something music related (see video above) UDPATE: A source (Thanks!) told m we should get new WF-1000XM5 successor!
• On April 18 at 9am pacific time Sony will announce some new Bravia related products (see youtube video below)

got info about TWO announcements happening by Sony between now and early Summer:

Mid April announcement: In mid April we are getting the Sony 16-25mm f/2.8. I have no info yet about other products that might be announced on that event.

May/June announcement: In May/June we are getting the Sony ZV-E10II and the 85mm f/1.4 GM II

Sony 24-70mm f/2.0…when? We should also should get the 24-70mm f/2.0 between now and June. But I got no info at all yet if it’s coming in mid April or late in May/June.

Sony just announced a new 247 Megapixel medium format sensor. You can find the specs here: sony-semicon.com/en/products/is/industry/selector.html I am sure we will see a camera using this sensor within the next 12 months. Likely from Hasselblad and Phase One…but my dream is to see a fixed lens Sony camera using this sensor!

Today Sony officially registered a new camera in China. It has the code “WW293541” and 5.1GHz/2.4GHz wireless network & Bluetooth support. I am 100% sure this is for the new ZV-E10II. Which means announcement will happen within the next 2-3 months!
