Just my wishful thinking: A majestic 24-70mm f/2.0 GM lens :)

TRUSTED sources confirmed Sony will soon announce a completely redesigned 70-200mm f/4.0 G lens. It has two important new features:

• macro capability
• It will be more compact than the current 70-200mm G lens.
• Will be on market this summer

A NEW source just sent me this (I am not sure if this is correct info but it sounds legit):

Saw your post about the new 70-200 f4. I have seen a preproduction version of this lens and can tell you that it will be shorter (by about 30%?) than the existing lens. Wider too, and better build quality, but a similar weight and fully internal focusing. The original has a week point in the middle and if dropped it can snap at that point. The new lens is completely redesigned with build quality being a key point that Sony wanted to address.

Finally the Sony Blogger madness is over and we can focus on the soon to be announced new gear ;)

Within the next 2 months there will be for sure a new Sony High End APS-C E-mount camera, a new 70-200mm G macro, and maybe another lens too! In the video above I explain you everything while as next I will share some more UNOCONFIRMED A6700 specs:

TRUSTED sources told us the new High End camera will start shipping out in August. Announcement will obviously happen before that.

THREE NEW (anonymous) sources shared following info on this camera:

• Name: a6700
• Sensor: 26mp (same FX30 sensor).
• IBIS: 7 stops
• Ai processor (same Sony ZV-E1 processor)
• 6k30p 10bit. 4k120 (1.19 crop). 4k120 will come in FW update along with it
• 3.69m dot viewfinder
• 2 SD/CF type A cards
• The body will be a new design. It will still have the evf on the left, but it will have a scroll wheel on the front under the shutter button. The grip is redesigned and  more ergonomic. The body will be about 3mm deeper and 4mm taller.
• Basically it is going to be a stills version of the fx30. Due to the cost of the VF, shutter and a few other things it is looking like the price will be $1999. Should be good value.
• Announcement date: beginning of July.

IMPORTANT: TRSUSTED sources are right 90% of the time. While with new sources you have always to keep in mind that the info could be completely or partially WRONG.

Today Sony will announce the new ZV-1II. And I got the first leaked images of the camera that do confirm it uses the new 18-50mm f/1.8-4.0 lens. Ut also has extensive touchscreen functionalities. You can see the 1/4″ mount at the bottom is well away from the battery door…so they fixed that!
One one of the images you see the Cine Vlog mode and also the new audio functions that do work like on the ZV-E1.

The Internet is going a bit wild on this allegedly “leaked” image of a Canon R1 prototype (Source: Twitter). I believe this us super unlikely to be the R1. But what’s sure is that the R1 will hit the market in 2024…and compete with the A1 and likely alos the new A1II that might be announced in 2024.

7Artisans will soon announce this new 24mm f/1.4 E lens.

On May 23 Sony will announce a new vlogger camera. Trusted sources now confirmed the following info:

• The camera is the ZV1II (ZV1 successor)
• It will feature a newly designed 18-50mm lens (compared to the ZV1 24-70mm lens)
• It will have a plethora of AI features
• It will be expensive with a price close to 1000 Dollars/Euro

UPDATE: I corrected this post after learning it actually has a 18-50mm and not 18-70mm lens.

I got no other specs yet but I suspect the new AI features and new lens are the main major changes. All the rest should be minor improvements (better AF, better IQ and so forth).
