A Chinese photographer is testing the newSG-image 35mm f/2.2 FE AF lens and he wrote:
I quite like the third version of the engineering lens that Master Gu handcrafted; I take it with me almost everywhere. Not long ago, I went to the countryside for the winter solstice and even took some nighttime photos of the small town. Today, the fourth version of the engineering lens came off the production line for its final round of testing. It’s being fitted with the final product’s exterior components, and this should be what it looks like when it’s finally released.

You can see that although the 35mm 2.2 is full-frame, it’s only a tiny bit thicker than the 25mm. The photographer also wrote:
To achieve this level of detail, the designers’ hair has almost turned half white.
