Reuters reports that Sony is acquiring the Toshiba image sensor business. This is quite a big news! Both Toshiba tech and production facility will help Sony to increase their market share. Right now Sony produces 40% of the worldwide sensor production.
I am wondering how other companies like Samsung and Canon can keep up with Sony’s sensor powers. Maybe in 2-3 years from now Sony’s E-mount cameras will be a generation ahead over the competition…
