Didn’t know Sony had an E mount 16-50mm 2.8 lens available. Where can I get one – lol. Headline seems to imply that the lens is part of a Nex 5 package. The headline should read A mount 16-50mm is available.

The likely hood is basically zero, but I would buy the 5n in a second if the body only had some sort of discount

Very attractive deal.

Unfortunately, I’d have to add a viewfinder. It seems the viewfinders are unavailable in the US. I can buy them via eBay from Hong Kong for well over $400. 50% of the price of the camera+ 2 lenses is what you call a deal killer.

I recently bought the EVF for my NEX-5N on eBay and it only cost me $325 including shipping.

    You’re right. They have gone up dramatically since I bought mine 3 weeks ago. When I bought mine there were at least 3X as many of them for sale, too.
    
    I would expect the price to head back down after the New Year when the supply loosens up a bit.

Actually BHphoto had this sort of deal, unannounced, for a while. 2 months ago when I added Nex-5n kit to cart, it asked me if I wanted the 16mm for $99.99. I said why not.

this has been the standing offer at the Sony store and B&H for several months. You neglected to mention that you can also add/combine a 55-210mm to the kit as well. (I am editing to clarify that this comment was not intended to be directed to decato but rather as a supplement thereto)

Super deal, the 2 lens kit is same price as before on sonystyle and adorama(amazon didn’t have the $100 discount that time yet.)

It was $900 – $100 = $800. Now it is $950 – $150 = $800. Super deal?
