One more Sony repair guide leaks the A77 name.
One more store got this repair guide from Sony that includes the A77 name and repair price. There have been another repair guide “leak” a couple of days ago. Anyway, that’s again a proof the A77 is getting closer and that our sources were right when long time ago they told to us the A77 would be announced in July (with one source saying it will be July the 7th).
And if all works well with my sources than I could publish the very first A77 picture soon!

Coming with new kit lens (A Sony 16-50mm zoom. Compared to the Zeiss 16-80mm f/3.5-4.5 it will have a constant aperture and probably have a bit higher price. Zeiss 16-80mm price check at Amazon, B&H, Adorama, J&R, eBay.)
24 Megapixels (The combination of the new sensor+new Zeiss lens delivers 62% more resolution than the A55 16 Megapixel sensor.)
1080p/30fps, 720p/60fps and 720p/30fps high-definition video
AF fine-tuning capabilities. A source told us that it has an improved focusing system (quite fast and accurate).
3 Million dot OLED viewfinder (more than double of the resolution fo the current Sony A55/33 viewfinder.)

2 years ago |I agree with Chris unfortunately. Not because of this Ritz Camera picture which is either a speculative mistake by Ritz or out of date or both (e.g. no A580 or A35) but because there has been so little information emerging about the NEX 7. The April AR summary really contained nothing concrete especially on the lens front when you contrast that with the A77 info trickling through.
I suppose Sony will want to make the most of each launch so the A77 will be a major launch next month and the NEX 7 if it exists would not be announced ’till the autumn with availability November/December. 7/7 is just for A77.

Sony is pressuring Canon in an impressive way, and this is very good for competition. Although I am waiting for Canon’s next FF camera I am monitoring the A77 since I believe this is going to be “revolutionary” and would give us a good idea on what to expect from the next FF cameras. My A100 is sputtering it’s last breaths, I need an upgrade. It’s this or a d7000 and a major system over-haul.

2 years ago |The price is quoted as “999 Dollars/Euro for body only.” This is confusing. If the camera is 999 Euro, that means the camera will cost $1,426 at the current exchange rate. If the camera costs $999, then it will cost 701 Euro.
Dollars and Euros are NOT interchangeable.

Market is not as realistic as you think. 999 Euro cameras are 999 dollars in the US. Exchange rate is not the only thing that plays. VAT, taxes, and so on.. But yeah. Learn how stupid the camera prices are between America & Europe and you’ll see why the price is quoted as such.
