Pentax K-3 to use a Sony 24 MP sensor. Samyang with new TS lens. Sony A55 hack process.
Have to catch-up with some other small news before to post the next rumors:
Pentax is ready to announce a new K-3 APS-C camera that will use the same A77 24 Mega pixel sensor (Source: RiceHigh).
First image of the upcoming Samyang 24mm f/3.5 tilt-shift lens (Photorumors).
There is a first patch for the NEX-3 and NEX-5 that finally can help you to switch the language if you bought a camera in Japan: http://www.nex-hack.info/talks/discussion/comment/589/#Comment_589
18-200mm lens tested at SonyAlphaLab.

9 months ago |Do you really think the Admin is hiding some info on purpose? If there is something new, the admin will post for sure. You don’ expect him to create stuff just to keep posting! or do you?
emopunk
9 months ago |Of course he’s not hiding. I just hope he gets more infos for all of us.
Aalpha100
9 months ago |He should get a free camera from Sony as he keeps the interest of many people alive (and thus lots of people in the Sony camp, if only for now). But guess will not happen..

9 months ago |Genuine excitement at the thought of the Sammy TS
Hope its a good one but Samyang seem to rarely dissapoint on the image quality front (especially considering their pricing).
I’m aiming to go full frame within the next 6 months & will evaluate the different brands to see which will suit me best (with a slight Sony bias because of the kit I already have, but shouldnt take too much of a hit financially if I do decide its time to switch brands so it is pretty feasable).
The main reason for going FF is for DOF play & a TS lens is pretty high on my wish list for that reason too (along with perspective play though this can always be done in PP – I like to avoid PP where possible).
Lack of TS options is a big strike against staying with Sony but if this lens turns out to be good then there is one less reason to leave Sony.
This makes me happy as, for some strange reason, I quite like being a Sony DSLR user

9 months ago |+1 T&S Seems to be VERY promising – really hope it’ll deliver acceptable image quality and wide range of tilt. If so – I’ll surely buy it!
Brendon
9 months ago |+2 expecially since T&S lenses are MF beings anyway so Samyang is on level playing field with Canon and Nikon except for auto aperture which shouldn’t be a problem when using an EVF.
Sky_walker
9 months ago |Yep, EVF gives huge advantage when using T&S lenses – Not only you see precisely what’s in focus and what is not (and control over this is aspect is one of major reasons for buying T&S lens) but also got good control over exposition, as well as (usual Sony advantage with chipped lenses) stabilization (ever heard of Nikon or Canon stabilized T&S? ^_^).

9 months ago |Nikon would never use this hopelessly noisy sensor

9 months ago |PENTAX…PEEEENTAX K-3…no one said Nikon.
RTI
9 months ago |Hi troll, ofc they won’t. They use the 36mpx instead…
emopunk
9 months ago |Nikon already uses it in bloody D3200.
RTI
9 months ago |Don’t feed it please
john
9 months ago |D3200 is different manufacturer than Sony
bas076
9 months ago |No those one was not Sony made. Such colorless sensor is not from Sony.
Michele
9 months ago |Damnass…. Nikon already uses Sony…
Frank
9 months ago |That’s right, because they are so good at fabricating their own sensors…oh wait…
Sky_walker
9 months ago |DO NOT feed the Troll, please.
Let him fade away in the corner of the Internet noone wants to look at anymore.
Frank
9 months ago |But it’s fun.
Boooe
9 months ago |No
bas076
9 months ago |Yes. You are right. D3200 a litle bit less. ~100 points difference by DxO test. It helps? No.

9 months ago |wonder would sony be so kind to put a “PENTAX” on the chip, so that PENTAX could claim to have designed their own sensor which only “manufactured” by Sony’s factory… you know… after what had happened to the ND7K…
BigP
9 months ago |no sample pictures from around the A99 ISO?
Frank
9 months ago |You will not see samples before any announcement. It is always like that because of the NDA that they have in place.

9 months ago |We prefer rumour of 2013-2014 Emount lenses route map. : )
Ed
9 months ago |Would the Pentax lens make this sensor better than it was in the A77 with Sony lens?
Sky_walker
9 months ago |Lens hardly can make sensor better. All it can do is deliver sharper picture, and I think Pentax might have a little bit of a trouble with beating Zeiss or Sony G lenses.
Either way – ISO or dynamic range won’t be affected by lens in any way.
befocus
9 months ago |I think the sensor would be better in the pentax but not because of the lenses but mostly because of no SLT that steal light and better tweaking in the sensor-processor communication
Ed
9 months ago |That might actually be interesting!

I have asked this before but I never got an answer.
What is your opinion on the 2013 36 MP camera?
Same sensor as Sony made Nikon or new/altered 36 MP sensor with PDAF?
NEX5n/6 A99 VG900 and rumored 2013 hybrid mount FF all have PDAF on sensor.
bas076
9 months ago |Sad to hear. I expected from Pentax usage of new 16.1Mp sensor from Sony and not questional 24.
Sqweezy
9 months ago |All right! The Pentax K-5 was widely regarded as one of the best APS-C dslrs in the market, with a compact, tank-like body and weather sealing that was second-to-none. Hopefully this new sensor will improve image quality even more. I’m hoping for great things with the K-3!
