Sony NEX-7 rendering (not real images!)
I just found a new Sony NEX-7 rendering. This is not the real camera but a product of imagination
UPDATE: The author of the rendering is Qing Xiang (http://timberwolf.zenfolio.com)
Reminder->There eas a rumor a while go that said that the NEX-7 would be announced at Photokina and:
“Design totally different to NEX5/3, and more bigger size
Spec unknow yet
Support XDCAM recording format
soonest release is on Sept, unless Panasonic announce GH2“

3 years ago |I am very much looking forward to seeing how much bigger the nex-7 will be than the nex-5, and how much better the video manual control specs will be. I use large DSLRs for filming and stills, but am wanting something really compact for filming unobtrusively.
Does anyone have any guesses as to how long we will have to wait before good rumors come out for the nex-7? Thanks, Sam

3 years ago |I thought the NEX5 controls will suck, but now that I bought it, I actually like it a lot.
Shooting with aperture priority is easy to control, just use the auto iso setting, which iso ranges from 200-1600, and the 1600 image quality is very impressive.
Now I could care less for the NEX7, unless they are gonna announce some new pancake primes along with it.

3 years ago |You shoot in aperture priority with auto iso turned on? Yes, maybe you really don’t need a camera with manual controls, after all.

I don’t use auto ISO with my DSLR, but with this camera, it’s the best option available.
When using this camera, trying to change the ISO on every other snap is plain stupid.
So if you need manual controls, just don’t buy it, period.

3 years ago |If they make one like Samsung NX10 (awesome interface button layout)
with nex style tilt screen I’ll get one for sure….
but for current nex5 I pass…..
and let’s not talk about lack of usable primes…..
can sony make lens like Pana 20/f1.7 or Samsung 30/f2 ?

3 years ago |Well are not we expecting a video camera in September? It fits the description
* Nothing common with NEX-3 and 5
* Shoots great video possibly in great format
* Will be direct competitor to GH1 and 2 in terms of low price high quality camcorder with large sensor, taking all sorts of photo lenses for shallow DOF etc….

I think people keep on building false expectations. There is no point in NEX-7. What do you expect it to be, a huge compact camera an oxymoron?

3 years ago |In couple of interviews Sony representatives clearly mentioned “We working on more advanced E mount NEX type camera. It will be suitable as a backup of current D-SLR users”. Camcorder is completely different story.

I think you’re right. I’m guessing that we will just see that Sony Camcorder with E-Mount and A-Mount caperbility.
I’ve a horrible feeling us Alpha users won’t see anything pleasing this year.
When’s the first big show in 2011? Sep?
