7 months ago |Can the A99 shoot video in manual mode while still using autofocus? I tried a few times and can’t seem to do that. When autofocus is turned on the A99 wants to maintain control over the shutter. Problem is it sometimes chooses shutter settings not ideal for video. If it will not allow you to stay in manual exposure and autofocus does anyone if the camera tries to at least maintain the best shutter settings while compensating for exposure.

7 months ago |@Justin, no it can’t when your in manual mode, only manual focusing. When your in automatic focusing mode, the camera automatically exposes as well. Not super cool, but you really shouldn’t need to automatic focus anyway. I’ll be putting up a test between a77 video and a99 video soon. Just got mine this morning as well!!!!! So excited!!!!!
