Its very very (very) unlikely that these cameras will have AF in the body.
Hence why its pretty obvious that there will be no AF with older or non SSM/SAM/HSM lenses

3 years ago |If its unlikely that there will be an AF screw mount in the body, couldn’t they technically make an adapter for non SSM/SAM/HSM lenses? They would have to extend the contact connections on the adapter and have a screw motor on the adapter it self. Could this be posible? I hope so……

I agree, the Sony APS-C sensors are the best…

3 years ago |What exactly is the point of an a7XX? These “glorified P&S” should theoretically be able to do anything an APS-C DSLR can do all while being 1/3 as heavy. If you want a big/bulky camera buy an A850, at least then the sensor would be bigger too. As a former E-P1 owner I can tell you I’ll never buy an APS-C DSLR again. Do people really enjoy tiny APS-C view finders wrapped in a body twice as heavy as my old Pentax LX even though that Pentax has a viewfinder twice as large? Unless someone comes out with a digital full frame version of a Pentax LX, Canon AE-1, Olympus OM, Nikon FE, or Minolta XD then I am done with DSLR’s.

3 years ago |If noise is lower than on E-PL1, than these cameras might have a usable ISO 1600. Although, Sony noise reduction is too aggressive on some cameras.
I hope that LCD screen has touch focus.
Good news concerning AF on older lenses, but leaving them without IS reduces their usability in low light.
