It’s finally happening — the Sony A7V has just been registered in Indonesia!

The Indonesian certification agency has registered a new Sony camera under the code “WW824259.” The device is manufactured in Thailand, just like the current Sony A7 IV. This model is almost certainly the upcoming Sony A7 V, which is expected to be announced in mid-November and begin shipping around January or February.

I still haven’t been able to confirm whether the A7 V will use the same 33MP sensor found in the A7 IV. Below is a photo of me doing my best to convince Sony to give us a new 33MP partially stacked sensor for the A7 V :)
