Exclusive Leak: Sony A7V Ditches Micro-USB port for Dual USB-C!

Share

A newly leaked image shows the Sony A7V has dropped the Micro-USB port in favor of a second USB-C connection.

UPDATE: I mistakenly told you it would ditch the HDMI port but instead it’s ditching the Micro-USB in favor of an additional USB-C port! The full HDMI port is still there on top left of the camera (you can’t see on this image as cover is not open!

So the way I see it this is a great move! Nobody really cares about Micro USB.

Sony A7V rumored specs :

  • 33MP sensor (probably new!)
  • improved fps rate
  • 8 stops IBIS
  • new AI chip like the Sony A1II
  • Free-Angle Tilting 3.2″ Touchscreen LCD
  • 2x dual Type A SD slot
  • no C5 button
  • improved EVF (5.6m dot?)
  • Same Sony A7rV body design.
  • dual USB-C port
  • price close to $3000
  • Announcement in early December
  • Limited batch ships before Christmas
  • Sony A7V Preorders (open on Dec 2): BHphoto, Amazon.

Three lenses are on Sony’s roadmap:

  • 100-400mm f/4.0 GM
  • 100-400mm G (variable aperture)
  • ultra wide angle f/2.0 GM zoom
