Jordan from PetaPixel tested the new Sigma 135mm f/1.4 FE lens. Of course he loved the lens! The only real drawback is its size. But if you need the ultimate Bokeh King this is the lens to get!

Matti Haapoja made a first direct comparison between the two cameras:
Main takeaways:
My own thoughts: The real impressive “feature” of the Nikon Zr is it’s low pricing. This will fore Sony to make a FX3III that is cheaper or with credible much better performance than the Nikon Zr to justify it’s high price tag. I think we will not have a long time to wait until Sony releases the new FX3II to take away the spotlight from the Nikon Zr and Canon C50!
Note: He also made this one correction video: The Nikon ZR is powerful and affordable, but its extreme data rates make it less practical for many users.

A tipster told me that Sony might announce a new macro lens on September 30. I haven’t yet been able to confirm this through reliable sources. So if you can confirm — or debunk — this rumor, please reach out using my anonymous contact form or contact me via eMail, Signal, Telegram. Thanks!
A friend of mine and reliable leaked How2Fly reported some time ago that:
Sony is testing a new full-frame macro lens, the FE 100mm F2.8 Macro GM OSS.
So we might get this lens on September 30?

Just a mock-up :)
Finally I can confirm through trusted sources that Sony will announce the new Sony A7V in October/November!
A double Sony announcement: New lens and New A7V!
To be more precise, sources told me Sony is likely to have a product announcement first for a new lens (could be this one?). And some weeks after Sony will have another announcement for the Sony A7V. I should be able to share the exact dates soon.
Why the long wait?
A source told me that the launch of the Sony A7V was originally scheduled for earlier this year. However, according to Sony, there were two key reasons for the delay:
What specs expect from the Sony A7V:
One trusted source gave me the specs but asked me to first double and triple check the info with other sources. That’s what I am doing right now so please be patient until I can get this 100% confirmation. But if(!) the specs are confirmed this is what you can expect:
What to expect from me next:
If all works according to plan soon I will give you this:
I will need your kind help to get be as accurate as it gets on those specs. So feel free sharing the rumors you find and get using this anonymous contact form or contact me via eMail, Signal, Telegram. Thanks!
My personal take on the Sony A7V
If what I’ve “heard” turns out to be true, then Sony will have once again played to its greatest strength: putting together the right specs to outclass the competition — including the upcoming Canon R6III, which is expected to use this cameras new sensor. I don’t have pricing details yet, but I’m confident it will cost significantly more than the A7IV. That’s just the reality of today’s market — with the notable exception of the Nikon Zr.
One more thing:
My source made it clear that Sony is planning to speed things up in the coming months. Could this also mean an FX3II is on the horizon? We’ll have to wait and see!
That’s all for today, folks — but stay tuned on SAR… exciting times ahead!
