We are now in November and this means that 12 months passed without a Sony Full Frame E-mount camera announcement. The last FF camera Sony announced was the Sony A9III back in November 2023.
The past 7 years Sony always did announce at least 1 new FF E-mount camera. 2016 was the exception although they did announce a new A-mount FF camera (the Sony A99II).

I was afraid that this would be the first year in a long time that Sony wouldn’t announce a new FF camera. But now I know for sure we are getting the Sony A1 successor on November 19 :)
I have never seen this before: The Sony A1II reorder page is already being promoted by BHphoto (Click here). They writes:
Stay tuned! Sony is announcing their newest flagship mirrorless camera, the a1 II, on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 9AM EST.

Tokina has discontinued production of the atx-m 85mm F1.8 FE lens. Rumor has it that this lens was actually manufactured by Viltrox. Now that the Chinese company has a good reputation, I think they no longer need the partnership with Tokina. Viltrox already sells its own 85mm lens under its own name.
