The Sony 24mm f/2.8 G lens strength is the very compact size that makes it perfect for use on the Sony A7c cameras. But Sony want’s to go even further with size reduction. A newly published patent discloses the design of a 26mm f/2.8 lens that is 5mm shorter than the 24mm G. That would be quite an impressive small lens!
Today’s my birthday and this may be the only a9III I get for the next year.. but I may pickup the real thing eventually.. This is a small but true to size a9III cake she had some friends of mine at CakeBuds Bakery in Johnson City make for me.. They’ve won several Food Network Cake competitions and were featured on several of their series. Enjoy!
There is a new firmware update for a long list of Sony lenses to make them compatible with the A9III crazy 120fps speed. The A9III is only going to ship out in late February so you don’t have to rush updating your lens.
This is 7Artisans first autofocus lens. But damn is this a huge lens! So unless this has some special optical design or extremely low price I cannot see why someone will buy this. So far 7Artisans did not announce pricing or detailed specs…
Asobinet noticed the Sigma 135mm FE has been marked as discontinued at Yodobashi. The lens was first announced in early 2017 so maybe Sigma is working on an updated version? If you want to get this lens you can still find it in Stock at Amazon US&EU and BHphoto.
There is also a Samyang 135mm f/1.8 that sells for $699 only at Amazon US&EU and BHphoto.
With the Sony a9 III’s new global shutter, a lot of questions and misinformation has been floating around the interwebs. In this quick video, I hope to answer some questions and shed some light on one of the camera’s biggest claims; it’s ability to sync at up to 1/80,000 of a second with a flash! I test it here in this video with the Westcott FJ400 at a variety of settings, but I’m interested in hearing what you’d like to see next! I have a few more days with the camera so be sure to sound off in the comments with what you’d like and I’ll do my best to deliver.
