New FX30 firmware update does kill the third party battery support?

Axel Wolstenholme wrote me this:

Hi Andreas hope your well, just a bit of info I think you might find interesting; I just updated my fx30 to version 3.00 to try out the new sony monitor and control app. And the camera now rejects 3rd party batteries, well you can still use them but you get a warning pop up then it removes the battery percentage if you choose continue to use. There’s no mention of this at all on sonys update documentation, but could cause a lot of issues/ confusion with people. Hopefully you can pass the message on, Cheers!

I don’t know if that’s an intentional step from Sony. Would be bad news for all third party battery owners (myself included)!
