A gentle reminder from Sony UK that the Sony Venice E-mount camera rules the professional movie world too! Ah, I still remember the good old days when Canon/Nikon fanboys said E-mount was a poorly designed mount that would not allow professional use :)
Dan Watson talks about the possible A9III specs. I have no clue yet what specs the camera will have, only thing I know is that I am 99,9% sure it’s coming within 2023 ;)
This week Canon announced the new R8 camera. You can compare the camera specs on this special BHphoto page. Sony has no direct competitor against it: The A7II is way more expensive and the A7II is cheaper but also technologically “older”.
What do you think, should Sony make a sort of A5 entry level FF camera or just lower the price of the A7III?
I guess Sony will take their own approach and simply not care about the space currently occupied by the Nikon Z5 and Canon R8…
Portland, OR – ON1, the leading provider of photo editing software applications, announces the new ON1 Photo RAW 2023.1 is coming in February, with new features and performance enhancements to improve the overall photo editing experience.
The non-destructive Healing Brush has received a ton of updates and will be enhanced with new transform, copy, and move modes, enabling you to scale, rotate, and flip your brush strokes for more precise healing edits. The new copy mode allows you to copy objects within your photo, while the move mode lets you relocate those objects in photos.
The crop tool in Photo RAW has been expanded with new overlay options including Rule of Thirds, Grid, Diagonal, Triangles, Golden Ratio, and Golden Spiral to aid photographers in recomposing their photos in post. There is also an additional option to hide the crop overlay.
Sky Swap AI has also been enhanced and now features two AI models, including a new one to help with buildings or cases where the sky and foreground have similar colors. The software has also undergone performance improvements for AI inference, making NoNoise AI and Resize AI much faster. In addition, the user interface font size is now adjustable, making it easier to use the application on small screens.
ON1 Photo RAW 2023.1 will also add support for the Canon EOS R6 MkII and Panasonic Lumix DC-S5II camera and will include new lens profiles. In addition to these new features, the latest update will include many other bug fixes and performance enhancements.
“Our team is dedicated to providing the best photo editing experience for photographers, and the next few updates for ON1 Photo RAW 2023 will focus on enhancing the user experience, delivering features based on customer feedback, and more performance updates” said Craig Keudell, President of ON1.
