Asobinet spotted a newly published Tamron patent which describes an APP that let’s you take over the control of a Tamron lens. Because you cannot connect directly the Sony camera with the Tamron APP the patent describes how you connect the lens with a USB cable or Bluetooth with the smartphone APP. This would likely work through their already existing Lens utility APP.
