Chris from PetaPixel lists his favorites “WEIRD Zooms”
In an ever-changing world, it’s important to offer new and different solutions for creatives. Personally, I’m a big fan of Sony’s 20-70mm G lens and think Sony will develop more of these ‘unique’ lens designs in the future (sources have told me this too). Chris and Jordan from PetaPixel have listed their favorite ‘weird’ lenses:
- Tamron 35-150mm f/2.8 (B&H Photo, Amazon, Adorama)
- Tamron 50-300mm f/4.5-6.3 (B&H Photo, Amazon, Adorama)
- Sigma 28-45mm f/1.8 (B&H Photo, Amazon, Adorama)
- Canon 100-300mm f/2.8 (B&H Photo, Amazon, Adorama)
- OM System 8-25mm f/4 (B&H Photo, Amazon, Adorama)
- Panasonic 25-50mm f/1.7 (B&H Photo, Amazon, Adorama)
- Sony 20-70mm f/4 (B&H Photo, Amazon, Adorama)
These are the Sony cameras Manny Ortiz really uses for his work!

Teamgroup announced the world’s first UHS-II V90 2TB SD Card
A couple of months ago Sandisk launched the V30 2TB SD card you can buy at Amazon US and Amazon EU. But this is a slow card, so not very usable for most of us. But this changed today:
Teamgroup has just announced the world’s first V90 2TB SD card! With 300MB/s you can do serious professional work.
Features:
- Exceptional performance with trustworthiness
- Supports 8K and 4K videography, ensuring the best image resolution
- Durability design frees creators from environmental limits
- Backward compatible with UHS-I and most videography devices used among creators
- 5-year warranty and data recovery for dual-protection
The question of course is if you really need such a large card. Anyway, the card should soon be available on their Amazon page.
