On July 30 Venus Optics will launch the Laowa 12mm f/2.8 FF lens for Sony A and E-mount. And on that lens you can use the new Laowa Magic Shift Converter. The diagram above shows how it works.

As you know Samyang promised to announces a new lens every Monday. Well yesterday’s announcement was underwhelming as they basically re-annnounced the Samyang 50mm f/1.4 AF lens for the Sony E-mount. The only real additional news is that the price in Europe will be 580 Euro (Soruce: Photoscala).

Reminder: The new Samyang 50mm f/1.4 FE autofocus lens is now available for preorder through BHphoto (Click here). Note that it’s branded Rokinon in USA and Wallimex in Germany-UK.
