We talked you about this lens over a month ago. Today you can see these are the first leaked images of the new Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD lens. Announcement is expected soon and availability in early 2021.

Today Sony registered a new camera code in Asia. Nokishita reports that Sony covered all details so we don’t have the usual info about WIFI and other features. But I strongly suspect this will be indeed the new A9 camera (named A9III?) that might be announced in early January at best. Sony will also announce the new 35mm f/1.4 GM along the new camera.

The Japanese solid source Nokishita said that Sony will soon announce the new 35mm f/1.4 GM lens!!! There is yet no info on the release date and no other info about possible specs and pricing.
Honestly it was about time to replace the rather unspectacular Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 lens. I hope more of the current lenses will be updated in the near future.
