I told you that Sony plans to update some of their current G zoom lenses. Last week I leaked the possible image of a new 24-50mm f/2.8 G lens. Now I got this rumor about a second new G zoom: The Sony 24-200mm f/2.8-4.5 G OSS.

Now this lens would be high on my wishlist if it’s not to heavy! What do you think about this lens?

No idea about the specs yet. But I bet there is an E-mount version of this coming!

Two sources just sent me this image of the new Sony 24-50mm f/2.8 G lens. I have no info on pricing and release date yet but I hope to get more info soon. I am currently on travel so I cannot write more but I made a quick video to share my thoughts :)

After the Sony A9III launch speculations started to go around the web that the A1II also might feature a global shutter sensor tech. I do believe that at this time this is unlikely to happen. Yes, on paper it’s possible the A1II could feature a 50MP global shutter with 60fps. This would theoretically match the speed of the 24Mp 120fps A9III camera. But the A1II will also have to beat the image quality of the current A1 and global shutters are very close but still not as good as rolling shutters when it comes to ultimate Image Quality.

One more thing: According to my sources you still have to wait quite some time before the camera gets announced!
