I got new updated information that the new Tokina atx-m 11-18mm f/2.8 for Sony E mount (APS-C) will be announced on September 14.
At the same time, I have got another info that the lens will be available as white finished body as well. I have been told that the Kenko Tokina company has incorporated a new factory into their corporate family, who has developed a unique painting technology for high precision products. This technology will be used for Tokina lenses as well.
Also this year Kenko Tokina celebrates its 65th anniversary and in commemoration of this anniversary besides white version of Tokina atx-m 11-18mm F2.8 Tokina is going to release its well known models atx-i 11-16mm F2.8 CF, atx-i 11-20mm F2.8 CF and atx-i 100mm F2.8 FF MACRO in white exterior design as well.

Tokina 11-18mm f/2.8 lens specs:

• USB port for firmware updates
• black or white options
• announcement on September 14

Currently NiSi only makes one E-mount lens, the NiSi 15mm f/4 Sunstar ASPH (here at Amazon). By end of September NiSi will announce a new E-mount lens. I don’t know the exact specs yet but here are the images I got:

Hi folks! An important correction on my rumor. A trusted source had told me the FX30has basically the same FX3 video specs. This is true, but I assumed this meant same sensor resolution too. The source now corrected me and said the sensor has 26MP! I don’t know if this is the same Fujifilm X-H2S sensor…

Additional note: I am 100% sure about the resolution as I got a “proof” of that by now. And today a first image of the camera will appear on SAR  ;) UPDATE: I was asked to NOT publish the image yet :(

UPDATE: At minute 5:21 he openly makes it clear he is using a new kind of unannounced camera. He always shoots Sony and it’s highly likely this video was shot on the FX30 don’t you think? And there is also a well known German Youtuber that is testing a camera “he cannot name yet”.

I believe in both videos you see images shot with the FX30.

UPDATE: I updated this post because it appears that the very first shoots at the beginning where taken on the A7sIII. Only afterwards he uses the FX30 to record images.

In September Sony will announce the new FX30. This will be Sony’s first APS-C FX cinema camera. It will also be more affordable than the current FX3 Full Frame brother.

Reminder: In early October Sony will have a new product launch: Expect the  A7rV and/or ZV APS-C camera to be announced.
