Marques Brownlee is right: It’s time for Sony to use Android (or iOS) on their cameras!

Share

If you watch the video from minute 5:10 Marques explains why mirrorless camera manufacturers should finally adopt Android (or iOS). It’s the only way to close the gab between connectivity/usability and image quality. I also think it would create a huge interest on Sony cameras. Imagine:

  • Clean and well known menu layout
  • Third party APP support
  • Full Internet connectivity (instant backup for example)

To me this would be a game changer for the entire Alpha System. And if Sony doesn’t do that, they risk to be a big step back to the company who does it first!

Would you agree we ned Sony Alpha cameras to feature full Android/iOS software?

Lenstip claims the Samyang 135mm f/1.8 is the better choice over the Sony GM version

Share

Lenstip reviewed both lenses and came to the following surprising conclusion:

The summary of this test should consist of superlatives only. Let’s face it, Samyang offers you an excellent lens. It’s a device that is able to rival on equal terms with the Sony model and, additionally, in many categories it prevails. Mind you, its price is two times lower than the price of the Sony. You have to admit in such a situation it would be difficult not to recommend the new Samyang.
