3 years ago |And I just bought A550 last month. Oh well at least I took family mini vacation with it. The upgrade that I really want is 3D and GPS. Will be neat if it includes sweep panorama, 3 frame HDR, and upgraded to A900′s AF system.

hanugro- I am in the same position as you! I bought one in early June for a trip and love it. I knew there would be an update coming “sometime” this year but I could not wait any longer. It doesn’t matter how good the next camera will be if you don’t have one to use now!
Of course I do want to upgrade… I really wanted HD video but of course there were no Sony alphas at the time that could do that. GPS would be very nice, as would 3D. Hopefully the value of a used a550 holds up enough so I can afford an upgrade later this year.

3 years ago |hi Mike, is that you who wants to sell A550 in dpreview? And I am still stuck with the old KM5D that I still have because waiting for high ISO a-mount dSLR. When I bought A550 last month I actually told the salesman about A5xx that may appear this year. He told me he have not heard it but I knew from his eyes that he might know something. He keeps telling me that A550 already have powerful processor (which I agree as 7fps, HDR, adn DRO will not lie). In the end high ISO performance of A550 that convince me to buy it anyway.

3 years ago |Not me, I am not really on dpreview much. I will need to wait an see how the successor turns out before I put up a for sale ad. I really do like the a550, the speed and hi-res screen are awesome, just add HD video and I would be set.
