Our friends over at ePhotozine (Click here) are among the very first websites to post a full NEX-6 review. And the camera got a “highly recommended” mark: “There wasn’t much we could find to be critical about, it’s a little more expensive than some of the competition and the going through the menu system can become long and drawn out. With the positives far outweighing the negatives, we are happy to recommend the Sony NEX-6.”

7 months ago |The body is for me not far from perfect! but still worry about the lense (16-50) image quality (resolution). The test says it’s good, but this is clearly a “light” test. Some other sources report huge corner softness.
And only this compact zoom make the NEX range interesting for me (thx to compactness)

7 months ago |wouldn’t it be interesting to see a camera test where they’d switch the camera with a good lens like the 24mm zeiss?
like use a nex-5n, nex-7 and a nex-6, but keep using the same zeiss lens to see the difference? o_O
right now i’m seeing images taken by the nex-6 with the new 16-50 lens, but with nothing to compare really :S

7 months ago |Oh those smeary corners at 16mm even when stopped down . . . .
Looking forward to some detailed lens tests. Have heard of a lot of sample variation with this lens, which may be expected due to the collapsing design which means a lot of lens elements need to move around. Hope they work the bugs out. Also look forward to tests with the 10-18.

7 months ago |They didn’t test the focus tracking. I hope some reviewers test focus tracking on moving subjects with the 55-210mm lens.

7 months ago |As far as I can tell sony has only the cz nex lens that does this and the other nex models any justice. I got a cheap adapter yesterday and took some pics with my tamron 17-50 2.8 and the pictures look as good if not better than they did on my A700. I think I will just get the sony adapter use my current A-mount lenses while I save up for the CZ.

7 months ago |Expensive compared to the competition? You mean the $1000 xe-1, the over $1000 em-5, and the over $1000 gh3?
Nex 6 is top of the line, the other models are comparative to the 5R which not surprisingly wins in value/performance as well

Criticism of menu system is also meaningless.
Maybe one day we will use “ribbon UI” in the camera
And then old-guys still cry “it is not convenient”
