Photozone reviews the new Sony 18-200mm lens!
The very good lens review website Photozone tested the new Sony 18-200mm lens.The results are very good for such a megazoom lens! The only “issue” that the lens is not very cheap.

3 years ago |Gah, Sony better iron out any early production optical defects quickly, less they want to pull a Sigma and offer inconsistently built lenses. It seems like in the end, you’re paying a (possibly) appropriate premium for better image quality and video capability vs competing super-zooms.

3 years ago |Once again, I must point out, as others had before me on the previous post, that this so called “first lens” on ebay is nothing more than another pre-order. While it states at the top that it would ship in about 5 business days, the description of the lens clearly states that it’s a pre-order, set to ship in September. You will NOT get this lens in a few days. You’ll get it at the same time as everyone else – more or less – and yet you will have paid a handsome premium to do so. It makes no sense to order this lens.
