4 months ago |I just Buy my A99 here in mexico for 2000 USD brand new in a good post christmas sale , im happy with the camera , its a nice piece of tecnology ….and the price actually was very good ! Im waiting for the Firmware update to use my 85 ZA lens

4 months ago |Me too, A99 and some Zeiss glass. It’s really weird how Sony prices his products here, some stuff is incredibly expensive comparing to US, and some other is ridiculously cheap. I’ve got my A99 for 2,400, days later they drop it to just 2000!. Scary cheap. Scary because I’ve invested many, MANY thousands in Sony A-mount. What’s the future of A-mount, do I have to worry?

4 months ago |Yeah thats true , some things are very expensive compared to the US ( B&H) prices , and some others like the A99 are very cheap , I don’t know why …. but its great to have an A99 in that range of price , I just hope that the Zeiss Glass have some great discounts when the new 50 mm came out , I also Buy the 50 mm F1.4 brand new in $ 153 USD , Its not a great great lenss buts its better than nothing and in that range of price its a great deal ! . just waiting for the Zeiss !

4 months ago |Can anyone tell me why sometimes a comment is not being displayed, and once you try to resend it, it tells you “duplicate detected”.
That’s very frustrating when writing a longer comment.

Very Down to earth for those of us, who have to use these units every day.
All I could think about is
SONY repeatedly Trying to tell us that
SONY IS AN INNOVATIVE Products company,
Sony bases their claim on one or two features,
but then repeatedly screws up even basic
design of buttons or I/O port layout.

4 months ago |Some of the gripes are certainly fair, but the one about the HDMI connector, not so much. I expect Sony expects that people plugging in a cable for video out are not going to be hand holding the camera, or are going to be using a camera rig and not the normal hand hold.
How much of the failures in ergonomics on these camera are from not wanting to compete with more expensive Sony camera I do not know. It would be nice if the A99 controller and software team could get together with the NEX camcorder controller and software teams and come up with an outstanding system. Maybe the next version will improve things.
