(SR5) The Sony HX9v full leaked

For those of you interested to get the new Sony HX9v compact camera take a look at hx9v.blogspot.com. They leaked everything you can leak about that camera
The two main killer features are the very fast contrast autofocus (0.1 sec) and the 1080p60 28mbit/s video recording. If the HX9v can do that imagine what the next NEX camera will do!

3 years ago |I always hear NEX!
I have to say, I still do not understand the sense of the NEX.
The body is nice small, but I still have to carry lenses around with me.
I know some of my friends who say that they get either a very good compact camera or digital SLR for beginners or amateurs. But in no case a NEX.
For me, the NEX is only a prototype for the Alpha series. As long as Sony built their entire knowledge into the Alphas, I do not care what happens to the NEX.
So I hope this fast contrast autofocus will be build in the new SLT-A77
MY OPINION!
Sorry for my possibly bad english

3 years ago |you better not hope the phase detection based autofocus to be replaced by contrast based in the A77
because thats the whole deal which makes the NEX slow to autofocus with non e-mount lenses.. anyhow, just stick to whatever suits you, i stick to my nex .. btw. my camera bag holds a nex, 7 lenses(primes&zooms), a tripod and lots of small stuff. it would otherwise fit one “REAL SLR” with a zoom
so i personally see a small advantage here

If my information is correct, then the SLTs have a combination of the two autofocus systems installed. The contrast based system is just a little too slow in live view what I have heard so in various tests.
But I could be wrong now!
“…just stick to whatever suits you…”
That is absolutely right! I see no need for me containing a NEX! Each must decide for himself, what is best for him.

3 years ago |Nice. It was so compact, does it having the over heated filming issue?
Milos Janata
3 years ago |No heating issues, with HX5 I can normally do about 25-30 minutes of video and then start it again:]

3 years ago |i doubt it this fast autofocus will have a huge impact on the NEX autofocus speed as there are just 3 lenses that would be able to take advantage of it.. contrast based autofocus can only be fast it the lenses report all stats to the brain of the cam, this will only be the case for e-mount lenses, which are still a bit short. it would be more interesting to see fast(or actually useable) autofocus for alpha mount lenses..

So it’s official – no more interlaced crap.

3 years ago |This is good push from sony to pressure its rivals. I like it! it is indirectly upgrade those Nex Alpha into next level performance n features :d

3 years ago |Exactly ! Until now both Panasonic and Sony did not call 1080p60 mode AVCHD ( because it was not part of the specs). If what we see is the real spec page, and they call it AVCHD means that the specs are officially revised. We may get an anouncement about this on CP+ show also. This is great news, if it becomes official part of the specs we will see shortly all adidting software supporting it and most likely a lot of new blu-ray players also ( we may still need to get a new blu-ray player, as older one may not be able to play this even with a firmware update).

Next Nex will make all of us think of an upgrade..
60p with hopefully full manual controls would blow Panasonic GH2..
pancanikonpus
3 years ago |exactly! i will jump in if 0.1AF + 60p full manual control and for <$1499!

3 years ago |blabla nex, lets see some lens from sony for gods sake!
1080p120FPS/96gigabyte/s is nice but nex currently have 1, no 2 lens? pathetic
M43 light years ahead, and no matter what sony puts in their next NEX they need to come out with lens!
jazzroy
3 years ago |I don’t agree, videomakers using GH1-2 use a lot manual lenses with adaptors, so if Nex has 60p at 28MB you can have all you need to beat m43 (the sensor is already way better..)

3 years ago |video shmideo… how about an FF NEX… then we’d be talking
GH
3 years ago |Ms, the NEX is fullframe…but fullframe in this case means aps-c. There is no reason to think that a system built from the ground up with an aps-c sensor will someday squeeze in a larger sensor. Fullframe 35mm sensors make sense for DSLR, because many of the lenses are for a 35mm sensor. Not so with NEX.
ps. aps-c is close in size to video’s Super 35, so video is covered, too.

3 years ago |Well, less about the rumor that was posted…. I’m puzzled…I wonder while looking at your posts…has everything come up to only one thing… shooting video?!!!? You are all talking about lenses and autofocus which offer a better suport for video…I cannot be more disappointed…there’s only one guy that said he couldn’t care less for the NEX line…you know, I smile when I look at NEX cameras, yes they seem nice, but what about real photography!???
What about real photogreaphy!?!?!?!?
I would probably buy a NEX for my wife…And even for her I would rather buy an SLT.
As i said before..it’s the serious cameras that put your name outhere. I couldn’t care less about how many NEXes Sony sells in Asia…do you think Canon or Nikon do!? This proves only that there’s no competition in this market segment, so these other companies will look into it in the near future, Nikon has already said so..
Some wellknown PRO, a few years ago, after Sony bought Minolta, said that it would only be after releasing a FF camera that we would be able to speak about Sony as a true photography(DSLR) gear producer.
Then came the Zeiss and afterwards the a900/850…and a lot of people became happy with the existence of autofocus Zeiss lenses and made the investment in Zeiss and G lenses.
How on earth is Sony going to keep this company close(Zeiss) I don’t know…if you don’t have good cameras out how are the Zeiss going to keep working with you on the future? They don’t take any advantage in working with Nikon and Canon in designing autofocus lenses for their mounts…becouse they produce manual focus lenses that sell in these mounts…but they might stop working with Sony in the future.
There’s simply not enough market for Sony’s Zeiss lenses anymore…
Keep talking about video if that’s your thing…I have no interest in movie with my cameras…it’s nice to have, but I couldn’t care less about it. If that was my thing I would just buy a good Sony videocamera…but for me it’s all about photography and the alphas…
If I had not made s serious investment in lenses by this point…

3 years ago |“… but for me it’s all about photography and the alphas …”
I’m on your side Daniel! I think Sony should push the Alphas more than NEX! I have no desire to lose picture quality due to the video function. DxOmark has now finally delivered the proof that I have long suspected: the A580 is better than the A55 in picture quality. It would be very desirable if Sony would throw both – an A77 and an A750 – on the market. Then I would buy in any case A750 with an optical viewfinder and the better image quality!

3 years ago |I bought my nex as many others also for shooting video so any improvements in that direction excite me.
I don’t get the point why we shouldn’t talk about that only because you are not interested in it.
