To be honest, I think with all future CZ and G lenses, weather sealing is a must. Half of the current line (such as the 70-200 like nathaniel said) needs to be re-released with weather sealing.
Also wouldn’t mind SSM versions of the CZ 85 and 135… So I can pick up the current versions for a bargain!

3 years ago |What I’d love to see is (most important on top, least on bottom) :
- Zeiss 50mm (It’d love something uber-sharp, without any aberrations or vignetting. f/1.4 preferred cause current 50 f/1.4 could really use update, but something like f/1.2 would work too
)
- Sony 16mm f/1.8 – no SAM, no SSM, very sharp (unlike e-mount pancake) and relatively cheap wide-angle lens
Tilt&Shift lenses (at least two – something ~50mm and something ~100mm, perhaps also cheap DT lens)
- Sony 50mm f/1.4 [T/2.4] STF – something cheap with STF benefits
- Sony 16-50 f/2.8 – Kit lens alternative
- Sony 70-200 f/4 – cause I <3 Minolta build of this one. It should be sharper at 200mm than any others sub-800$ lens, yet relatively cheap.
- Sony 100 Macro re-build
- Sony 180 f/3.5 Macro SSM
- Sony 12mm f/2.8 or f/3.5 SSM – something ultra-wide with good picture quality
In general I'm not big fan of SAM lenses – I'd prefer cheaper lenses over SAM, as these eat more power from camera without any visible (at least: for me and several reviewers in magazines I read) benefits. Sorry Sony, but in my opinion: discontinuing them is the best option (though NEX users wanting AF on A lenses won't agree with me most likely)

Something instead of the new Sigma 8-16mm and Sigma 10-20mm.
A cheaper upgrade for the kit lens. 16-80mm with f2.8 instead of the Tamron 17-50mm and Sigma 17-70mm.
A 70-300mm instead of the Sigma 70-300mm APO.
Get the basics right first before working on expensive lenses that have a tiny market share.

3 years ago |The one single lens that Sony needs to make most urgently is a 24mm, Fast, E-mount pancake. Would be great if it was Zeiss. Wouldn’t mind paying a premium for such a lens. Due to the short registration distance it would not need to be a retrofocal design, and would be considerably smaller than a DSLR lens of same focal length. They could easily make it f/1.8 and still relatively compact.

will be GREAT travel kit with NEX-5 or some more advanced small body.
