Sony NEX-5R to ship from October 21. For now NEX-5N beats the NEX-5R in USA (pre)orders.

Don’t know how reliable that info is but the largest worldwide online store Amazon just notified that the NEX-5R will start to be shipped from October 21th (Click here ot visit the product page). Anyway, not many of us seems to have ordered the new camera as it didn’t even manage to reach the top hundred of the mirrorless camera (pre)order ranking (Click here). I guess most of us are waiting for the September 12th announcement when Sony will unveil the NEX-6!

The “older” NEX-5N is many times more sold than the newer NEX-5R because of the $100 discount at Amazon (Click here) and BHphoto(Click here).

$100 price drop on the NEX-5N (Reminder: NEX-5R coming this week)

Three days only before the new Sony NEX-5R announcement and multiple stores are now selling the NEX-5N with a nice $100 discount at Amazon (Click here). Same price drop on the Body only (Click here) and on the Silver kit (Click here).

The NEX-5R will very likely be priced at $699 (with kit lens) and compared to the current NEX-5N it will have a faster AF, Wifi and APP support. Coming on Wednesday. The NEX-6 will be announced in September while I don’t know when Sony will announce the new NEX lenses.

So, we saw the new NEX-5R and NEX-6 cameras and the E-mount FF cameras will arrive in 2013 only. So if you still want a NEX camera now and don’t have time to wait for the NEX-5R and NEX-6 than you may take the chance to grab the latest $100 bundle offer on Amazon (Click here).

The only bad news is that the Zeiss 24mm for NEX is still not avialable and you can get it only by buying a huge $400 extra via third party resellers on Amazon (Click here).

The last Full Frame NEX rumor may overshadowed the NEX-EA50 release :) Time to give you some new link to the new camcorder:
