Sigma 24-105mm lens production “on hold”?

Bildschirmfoto 2014-11-27 um 14.16.21

Those of you who preordered the new 24-105mm Sigma A-mount lens will certainly be unhappy to read this: SAR reader Keith got this note from Sigma US:

Good afternoon,

Unfortunately, production of the 24-105mm has been halted in all mounts.  It was originally supposed to be released for Sony this month, but now production is on an indefinite hold.  I will save your e-mail address and get back to you when we know more.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Have a great day!

Sony says they will “fix the FS7 slow aperture response” (and in Stock now at Amazon).

Sony PXW-FS7 Unboxing / Review / Test from 12FPS on Vimeo.

There is an E-mount camera we don’t talk a lot about here on SAR. But it’s a hell of a great camera: The 4K E-mount FS7 camcorder. There is a good news to report: Dan Chung from Newsshooter got word from Sony that they will fix the FS7 slow aperture response. Hope that fast way to fix stuff will be streamlined to all current Alpha cameras :)
The camcorder is also in Stock for the first time in US via Amazon third party resellers (Click here).
