Our reader “fernando” sent us the following new copy of a new full accessories list for the NEX version cameras. There is a new NEX bag carrier for the cameras on the image and here are the full pictures:

There is now an official press release from Sony support US:
“Thank you for your support of Sony products.
We have received reports of a “clicking” sound which may be heard in the audio playback of movies recorded by the NEX-5N camera. This phenomenon occurs if the camera undergoes sudden motion while recording; motion generally inconsistent with smooth video recording. The video is unaffected by this sound.
In accordance with Sony’s policy of continuous product improvement, an adjustment has been developed to reduce the clicking sound resulting from sudden motion during movie recording.
Sony will offer this performance improvement to NEX-5N end users during the period of its limited warranty accompanying the product. Please call 888-868-7392 to arrange for this improvement.”

Let’s just give me an update about one of our main competitors (and sensor partners). Nikon just announced a completely new CX mirrorless camera system based on a 10 megapixel 2.7x crop sensor. The sensor is four times bigger than the small compact camera sensor but a lot smaller than our NEX sensors. You can read the full news coverage at MirrorlessRumors.com.

I don’t know yet if the system uses Sony sensors. But at first glance I wouldn’t say this is a serious NEX competition. It’s a camera made for the compact camera “upgraders” but with $599 (for the J1 at Amazon) I find the entry price too high! I would buy the [shoplink 8452]Sony NEX-5n[/shoplink] at that price….without the clicking issue please :)

The japanse company Rayqual announced a couple of new E-mount adapters with built-in tripod mount. There will be E-mount adapters for Nikon F, M42, Leica R, Olympus OM, Canon FD and Pentax K mount lenses. Rayqual sells their adpaters on their own website Rayqual.com. But sadly it’s only in japanese language. The adpaters will cost around $180-200. At first look the [shoplink 7434]Sony 30mm macro[/shoplink] lens for NEX doesn’t look like it could become a hotseller. It’s way to big and to slow for me. But it’s a very cheap lens. And there is one more good news. The Japanese website DC.watch (Click here) posted a couple of full size image samples taken with the [shoplink 7207]NEX-C3[/shoplink] and the macro lens. And when looking at those images I can say that image look very good! Click on the thumbnails below where I linked some of the images made by DC.watch.

P.S.: The lens will be available in Japan from September 22. We Europeans and Americans will have to wait a bit more to get our hands on that lens (mid October).
