Sigma CP+ 2024 interview: No E-mount tele converters coming

Phototrend interviewed Sigma CEO Yamaki and here are some key statements:

  • I already have my wish list until 2027, which I have passed on to my engineers.
  • There is no plan to make E-mount teleconverters
  • About more telephoto lenses: “To be honest, we don’t have this type of goals in our roadmap at the moment, but I think it’s worth considering for the future.

Over half a million reorders for the Fuji X100VI in China only? We need a Sony Full Frame competitor now!

I want a Sony stylish vintage camera and you?

According to CameraBeta Fuji had over 500.000 Fujifilm X100VI preorders in China only! Consider that Fuji officially said that they can produce 15.000 X100VI cameras per month. So it would take them 33 months to cover the reorders they have NOW in China only.

Even if Fuji will be able to increase production it will take them YEARS to fulfill the demand that is coming from all over the world. This is very good news, because it show that there is HUNGER for real compact photo-centric cameras. No vlogging toys (sorry Sony ZV-1) or hybrid still/video camera…but true photocameras!

As a photographer I am happy to see this and I do believe Sony should release a new RX Full Frame camera that has those three characteristics:

That would truly be a winner don’t you think? In my video below the full extended thoughts:

FujiFilm X100V preorders are open at BHphoto, Adorama, Amazon, FotoErhardt. Calumet. WexUk.. Press text at Explora
