Cool! Sigma announces water and scratch resistant filter.

Today Sigma announced a new high quality protective filter made of Ceramic Glass that has the following key features:

  1. It’s 10 times stronger than conventional filters
  2. It’s scratch resistant
  3. It’s water repellant (it also helps to easily remove fingerprints).
  4. It’s coating’s antistatic function helps prevent static electricity from attracting dust and other particles.

Bad news: Zeiss Loxia 21mm lens in Stock in mid January. Good news: First UK preorders shipping.

BHphoto (Click here) just postponed the Loxia 21mm availability date from mid December to mid January. It means if you order it now you will have to wait at least one month to get one. I do hope though that early Ocotber preorders will be shipped before Christmas.

The good news is that one: Two UK readers told me their preorder shipped this week.
