Viltrox will announce the new 25mm f/1.7 “Air” APS-C and 50mm f/2.0 “Air” FF lens on February 28. We will also get the 35mm f/1.2 and 85mm f/1.4 PRO.

Nest week (around Feb 25) Viltrox will announce this new 35mm f/1.2 LAB lens. Later in the year we will also get 50mm f/1.2 and 85mm f/1.2.

As you know, Sony announced the 44MP IMX366 sensor 1-2 years ago. It’s a high speed sensor that may or may not find its way into the future new Sony A7V. My gut still tells me that the A/V will retain the 33MP resolution… but I have a curious competitor rumor: Panasonic will announce a new S1rII next week that has a new 44MP sensor. I suspect it will be a variant of the new Sony IMX366 sensor, and the rumored specs are impressive (Source: L-rumors.com).

This camera aims to compete against the Canon R5II and Nikon Z8. Imagine the A7V would have those specs for $2,500…I know I am dreaming and this is NOT going to happen!

The first real lens photo of Viltrox’s new AF85mm F1.4 Pro full-frame lens. The lens will be unveiled at the CP+ exhibition at the end of February. It has Sony E and Nikon Z mounts.

So this is what Viltrox will display those new E-mount lenses at the Cp+ show:

• AF35mm F1.2 LAB full-frame
• AF85mm F1.4 Pro full-frame
• AF50mm F2.0 Air full-frame

Two sources gave me more info on the new Sony 16mm lens!

Sony 16mm f/1.8 G lens specs:

The lens will be announced on February 26 at 3pm London time along the new Sony 400-800mm f/6.3-8.0 G:

• 105mm filter size
• slightly longer than the Sony 200-600m G
• Price: 2999€

What you see here is the first image of the Zeiss Otus 50mm f/1.4 lens (preorders open here soon). This is the RF mount version, and as you know E-mount version will be available too. It’s definitely going to be manual focus only and I speculate the price will be around $4,000 like the original OTUS DSLR lens series.
