Last month we reported how Nokishita spotted a total of five camera registrations. Two cameras now have been announced, the Sony A1 (BHphoto. Adorama. Amazon. Focuscamera.) and Sony FX3 (BHphoto, Adorama. FocusCamera). Here you see the list of codes of the five cameras:

My guess is that there might be also some Airpeak camera drone code among those. Than of course the long awaited A7IV.

A highly reliable source told us this: Sony will have three announcement events in March:

• March 9 (microphones)
• March 16 (Sony 50mm f/1.2 GM)
• March 23 (more lenses)

Today Sigma streamed a new CP+ chat video. And they made it clear that a new “DG DN” Sports zoom lens is in development. Could be the 70-200mm f/2.8 that was rumored for some time?

Dpreview had a long chat with Sony manager Masaaki Oshima. There are so many interesting points that it’s best you jump over to Dpreview to read it all.

From a purely rumors point of view I will report this. Mr. Masaaki said “We will launch other cameras this year” hinting that multiple E-mount cameras are on the roadmap. Exciting!

I knew it already but Nokishita unleveled it before me…damn :)

Back to the rumor: Sony will soon announce the new 50mm f/1.2 GM lens (SEL50F12GM)! What Nokishita didn’t give you as additional info is this

1. The lens will be announced around mid March!
2. it’s not the only lens that will be announced in the next 5-6 weeks!
