One trusted source that saw the new A6700 said it’s definitely a nice camera. Although he also hoped to get an A7000 (EVF in the center). He also told me that the A6700 does (have!) have the fully articulating screen of the Sony A7rV. To sum up here are the specs that have been confirmed by trusted sources and those unconfirmed (but likely to be true):

Confirmed Sony A6700 specs:

• 26MP sensor
• 4k120p
• two dual SD/Type A card slots
• AI features
• slightly larger body with front dial under the shutter button
• Price slightly below the Fuji X-T5
• Announcement on July 12

Unconfirmed Sony A6700 specs:

• 3.67 million dot EVF
• 7 stop IBIS

A newly published Cosina/Voigtlander patent disclosed the specs of two new lenses:

23mm f/1.2 APS-C

• Focal length: 23.6
• F-value: 1.22
• Half angle of view: 31.5
• Image height: 14.2
• Overall length: 55.7
• Back focus: 14.8

35mm f/1.4 FF lenses

• Focal length: 34.3
• F-value: 1.21
• Half angle of view: 32.4
• Image height: 21.6
• Overall length: 71.8
• Back focus: 19.3

At last I got some first “pieces” of the new A6700. Thing we learn from those images:

1. Front dial (confirms our previous rumors)
2. Record button has moved on top compared to the A6600
3. name is confirmed to be A6700
4. seems to have some sort of FX30 alike finish (I would love this)
5. Source also confirmed it has 26MP sensor from the FX30
6. Source also said it has a sort of A7c look

All we know for sure is that the new High End APS-C camera will be announced next week on July 12!

Sirui is teasing the launch of new autofocus lens. The lens will be available for different mounts including E-mount. Sirui is well known for their good quality anamorphic manual focusing lenses. No idea yet about the possible specs of their first autofocus lens but I certainly expect it to have high optical quality.

Reminder: The new High End APS-C camera will be announced next week on July 12. Specs and name are still not 100% confirmed. But it might be named A6700 and might use the same 26MP sensor of the FX30.
