A trusted source told me that Sony will have a product announcement by end of May. We will get the new ZV1 successor. So this isn’t really the camera we were all waiting for. But hold on with me, there will be more Sony product announcements in June/July! We will get new lenses and after that also the A6700 in early July.

One other trusted source told me that Sony actually anticipated some product announcements. He didn’t share more details but it may means that the original early July announcement for the A6700 might be anticipated. I also got some possible A6700 specs I will post soon. Stay tuned folks, don’t despair, many great lenses and cameras will be announced in June/July and, September/October ;)

The Nikon Z8 images and specs have been leaked. It will directly compete with the Sony A7rV and in my latest video I compared the specs between the two cameras.

• When you write Sony is “ahead of schedule”…what exactly has been anticipated?

Nikon Pakistan listed the void Z 8 product page. As this camera is going to compete with the Sony A7rV I was interested to see the specs. But to my uprise all they did display for a short period of time is a well known FAKE image :)

I got this rumor from a new source. Which means I don’t know if it’s reliable, but I hope it is correct. The source claims the new FX10 is coming this year:

• The new camera is ILME-FX10
• basically a ZV-E10 with BIONZ XR processor
• AI processor
• FX body
• mechanical shutter
• no IBIS.
• It’s an affordable APS-C device with 4K/60p

If my trusted sources are spot on than we might get up to five new E-mount cameras this year! Here is what to expect:

• High end APS-C camera (likely before Summer with 26MP sensor)
• Sony A9III
• Sony A7cII
• one surprise E-mount camera
• some sort of cine/video centric E-mount camera (could be coming in late Spring)

But there might be even 1-2 more if you consider the Venice series and or other niche products (remember Sony also made a PTZ E-mount camera).

What do you hope to get?

This is a lens still missing int he E-mount lens range. But at $9499 it’s also quite expensive!
