A new Chinese company named “Cheecar” will soon announce this new 14mm f/2.8 FE manual focusing lens. It somehow looks like a Voigtlander lens! No info yet on pricing and release date.
I really don’t know if that Nikon camera roadmap prediction is correct (via MirrorlessRumors). But let’s assume for a moment this is the real deal and Nikon will announce:
November 2022: Z7III with 45MP and 8K
November 2022: Z6III with 24MP and 6K
January 2023: Z5II with 24MP and 4K
March 2023: Z90 with 24MP
June 2023: ZF with 24MP
August 2023: Z8 with 61MP and 8K
October 2023: Z50II with 21MP
What do you think about that? My short thoughts:
Z7III with 8k sounds great, and certainly would pressure Sony in offering an affordable 8K Alpha camera.
Knowing that Sony is announcing the A7rV now I would find it strange that Nikon will answer with the Z8 in August 2023 only.
At 9am London time Samyang will announce the new AF-V lens lineup. I have been told those lenses are optimized to be used on gimbals. So they all have same size and roughly the same balance. They also have focus save option.
The first lens to be released will be the 75mm f/1.9 with four more to follow: 20-24-35-45mm primes.
One source told me that tomorrow (September 8th Thursday at 9am London time), Samyang will announce a new AF-V lens lineup. The first lens to be released will be the 75mm f/1.9 with four more to follow: 20-24-35-45mm primes.
I still don’t know what will be the special characteristics of those “AF-V” lenses…maybe CINE oriented?
I got new updated information that the new Tokina atx-m 11-18mm f/2.8 for Sony E mount (APS-C) will be announced on September 14.
At the same time, I have got another info that the lens will be available as white finished body as well. I have been told that the Kenko Tokina company has incorporated a new factory into their corporate family, who has developed a unique painting technology for high precision products. This technology will be used for Tokina lenses as well.
Also this year Kenko Tokina celebrates its 65th anniversary and in commemoration of this anniversary besides white version of Tokina atx-m 11-18mm F2.8 Tokina is going to release its well known models atx-i 11-16mm F2.8 CF, atx-i 11-20mm F2.8 CF and atx-i 100mm F2.8 FF MACRO in white exterior design as well.
Currently NiSi only makes one E-mount lens, the NiSi 15mm f/4 Sunstar ASPH (here at Amazon). By end of September NiSi will announce a new E-mount lens. I don’t know the exact specs yet but here are the images I got:
Nisi has launched a teaser action on their website and on their Facebook group. You have the chance to win this new lens for free.
