2. Two new flashes along the A7IV announcement

Sony A7IV rumored specs:

• launch on October 21 (if chip supply permits this)
• Newly developed 33MP sensor
• 15 stops of DR
• 3.69m dot EVF and LCD is improved too (1.44m dot???)
• 4k30 video is oversampled from 7K
• 4k 60p will be oversampled from 4.8k s35 mode
• 5.5 stops of IBIS (+ AS)
• Same A7sIII body design and same heatsink system.
• Full size HDMi
• Fully articulating LCD screen
• UHS-II SD-cards and CF Xpress cards
• Same new Sony menu system of the A7sIII
• I am still not sure about this but price might be around $2,499???

Already back in August I told you that we would get updated version of the current GM zooms. Now that we got the new 70-200mm GM II Lens it’s obvious that we will also get the new 24-70mm GM II within the next months. Probably the only question mark is the current worldwide chip and electronics part shortage. this might be the reason why Sony didn’t announce both GM II version at the same time. Canon, Sony, Olympus all announced lens and camera shipment delays because of this :(

Today at around 15:00 London time Sony will announce the new Sony FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS II lens. Here are a couple of new leaked images:

We are going to have a very busy time from now til December! On Wednesday (Oct 13 at 15:00 London time) Sony will first launch the new 70-200mm GM II lens. This is 30% lighter than the predecessor and has better IQ, faster AF and maybe even an aperture ring!

On October 21 we will get the new A7IV (33MP, 4k60p and so on). But now I have been told there will be another announcement after the A7IV launch with another new E-mount lens. I should get some info about this lens soon.

The still to be announced new Samyang 24-70mm f/2.8 FE lens is already on sale in Thailand for a price that’s around $900. I guess the lens will be announced this week in the USA and EU too.
