We photographed 1 model with every SONY LENS and these were the results

Share

Ed Gregory contacted me to share his latest creation posted on Photosincolor.com:

I managed to get Sony lend me every single lens they have and I shot one model with it. It was a lot of fun to shoot and got some pretty great results. The video has photo examples throughout, a cool morph of all the images at the beginning and end and I had a lot of other creators join me int he video. People like Manny Ortiz, Irene Rudnyk, Gerald Undone, iJustine, iPhonedo and more.

Dpreview compared the Z6 vs. S1 vs. EOS R vs. a7 III and says the Sony is still the best choice

Share

Dpreview compared the four entry level FF cameras. The conclusion:

Having considered all these factors, and looked at how they apply to different types of photography, it’s difficult to announce a clear winner. It’s certainly not as simple as adding up how many times we’ve recommended each model, since it’s unlikely any one person is going use their camera for every one of these types of shooting.

With that critical caveat, the Sony a7 III remains our generic recommendation, simply because it’s good at just about everything. But it’s a much narrower margin over the Nikon Z6 than when we last pondered this question, and that still doesn’t mean it’ll be the best for you.

2021

As expected: No Sony A7sIII announcement and lots of Cine professional stuff!

Share

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMsLoEMsNWU

Sony professional just posted the list of gear they announced today (you can see the long video here). As expected no new A7sIII that I told you is more likely to be announced in June! And a good sign for this is that Sony OFFICIALLY registered a new high End camera in Asia (article here).

Big mistake from Sony management to not at least give us an update on the A7sII successor launch. Also strange to have posted such a boring powerpoint alike presentation that a 5 year old can do!

More news:
Sony announced a new firmware update for the FX9 and Venice FF E-mount camcorders (info here).
