Bildschirmfoto 2016-01-29 um 07.21.03

I have been told the Sony patented FE 28-70mm f/2.0 lens is made for the film maker use. Sony is considering to launch such a lens for the FS5-FS7 and future FF E-mount camcorder owners. And it won’t come cheap. I don’t want to scare you but the Fuji 14.5-45mm T2.0 Cine lens for Super35 which costs $99,000 at BH!

Lens specs according to the patent:

  • Patent Publication No. 2016-14841
    • Published 2016.1.28
    • Filing date 2014.7.3
  • Example 1
    • Focal length f = 28.84 45.32 66.50mm
    • Fno. 2.06
    • Half angle of view ω = 36.87 25.52 18.02 °

Dale:I wrote a review of the Canon 400mm 5.6 adapted to the A7R2. Since there is no native long e-mount lens this is the best option I have found for wildlife after several other lenses. There is very little written about this combination and I believe this would be very helpful for many folks needing a long lens for Sony E-Mount.

Anonymous: I recently had the opportunity to test lens Sigma 30 / 1.4 C DN with a6000. What conclusions? Small size, light weight, fast automatic AF, maximum aperture F/1.4, the price – less than $ 350. In practice even at maximum aperture in the center of the frame provides an acceptable resolution. Bokeh is good, but its shape at f/1.4 not completely satisfied. Above f/2 is already really good. For users of Sony E is a very good choice.
