Just announced: New Samyang 16mm f/2.8 and 85mm f/1.8 FE lenses

LK SAMYANG introduces the AF 16mm F2.8 P FE prime lens,
part of the Prima Series and designed as “Your First Lens.
It weighs only 207 grams, making it easy to carry. This lightweight lens provides sharp images even when you are just 0.12 meters away and offers a 0.33× magnification for detailed close-ups.
Its simple design does not have the traditional red ring, and it features a textured focus ring.
The AF 16mm F2.8 P FE is perfect for capturing daily life clearly and stylishly.

New chinese company launches 1Tb VPG400 4.0 Type A card for $220 only!
A new chinese company named Bilitu launched the most affordable 4.0 generation VPG400 card yet on Amazon (click here). This is nearly $100 cheaper than the competition. But a bit of caution, I don’t know yet if this VPG400 claim is true or not!

Just a weird mockup of a non-existing Sony camera
Digitalcameraworld shared their speculation about the Sony cameras that are in the works and could be released in 2025:
Sony
- Camera: Sony A7 V (successor to A7 IV)
- Sensor: 44MP (potentially Sony’s new sensor)
- Resolution: Likely to rival Canon EOS R5 (45MP) and Nikon Z8, but not surpass Sony A1 (50MP) or A7R V (61MP)
- AI Features: Significant AI-driven features expected (similar to Canon EOS R1 and R5 Mark II)
- Burst Speed: Improvement to the current 10fps, aligning with competitors
- Video: Removal of crop in 4K 60p video
- Release: Delayed; now expected in 2025
Sony A7sIV
- Camera: Sony A7S III launched in October 2020, overdue for a refresh
- Successor: The A7S IV is rumored for release in 2024, likely syncing with the October launch of the A7S III’s predecessor
- Sensor: Potential debut of a new dual-layer sensor, possibly the same as the partially stacked sensor seen in the Nikon Z6 III
- Resolution: The 24.5MP sensor capable of internal full-frame 6K 60p RAW, full-frame 1080p 240p, and APS-C 4K 120p
- 8K Omission: Rumored absence of 8K recording, a deviation from typical flagship features
- Video Features: The A7S IV is expected to focus on improving low-light and dynamic range performance while maintaining high-quality video recording
- Other Models: The A7S III has had indirect successors in the form of the Sony FX3, Sony FX6, and Sony ZV-E1
Sony FX3II
- Upcoming Camera: The Sony FX3 II is rumored to be the next camera in the FX series, potentially replacing the A7S IV rather than being released in addition to it.
- Shared Architecture: It’s suggested that both the FX3 and FX6 may share the same architecture as the A7S III due to their similar design.
- Sensor Rumors: Some rumors indicate the new camera could feature a 12MP global shutter sensor, although this seems unlikely given Sony’s focus on global shutter technology. Chinese whispers tend to be unreliable, but it’s not entirely out of the question.
- Potential New Sensor: The rumored Nikon Z6 III partially stacked sensor, a 24.5MP option, could also make sense for the new FX camera, which would match the trend of improving low-light and dynamic range performance.
Sony A6200
- Camera: The Sony A6200 was originally expected to arrive in the summer and is said to feature the same excellent 26MP image sensor as the Sony A6700.
- Shared Sensor: The same sensor has also been used in the Sony ZV-E10 II, which raises the question of whether Sony or consumers really need both the A6200 and A6700, especially with the ZV camera as a third option.
Sony RX1rIII
- Affordable Alternative: If you’ve been waiting for an affordable alternative to the Leica Q3, you might be in luck.
- New RX1: Sony Rumors has speculated that Sony could resurrect its full-frame compact camera line with a new RX1, the first since the 2016 RX1R II.
- Resurgence of Compact Cameras: Compact cameras have been seeing a resurgence lately, thanks to the success of the Leica Q3 and the Fujifilm X100VI, making it interesting to see what Sony will bring to the market.
