Adobe Camera RAW now supports α9 III and Northrup tested the A9III Image Quality
Adobe added preliminary support for the new Sony A9III. Northrup quickly analyzed the Sony A9III RAW to check out how the Image Quality is:
Before you draw a a final conclusion a couple of remarks:
- Northrup used a pre-production camera with non finalized software
- Adobe supports is “preliminary” and not final
- Comparing 50MP A1 with 24MP A9III is not exactly super fair. We should compare it with a 24MP camera from any other brand.
My short take on this:
Even if it doesn’t match the A1 Image Quality, the quality is high enough for the benefits it brings fro sports photographers: 120p, no rolling shutter, no banding, and so forth…
