Sony just launched the new “Monitor & Control” APP (presentation here). It’s compatible with the FX3/FX30/FX6 cameras and enables wireless monitoring, high-precision exposure adjustment, and focus control on the larger screen of your smartphone or tablet.

Let’s see if the new Burano E-mount cinema camera has a new kind of sensor…that might be used on the future A9III too ;)

Fuji just announced the new GFX100II (preorders at BHphoto, Amazon, Adorama). A full intro text can be read at Explora. The camera uses a NEW Sony 102MP medium format sensor.

You know I am a big believer in Sony also doing a medium format camera. I believe there is a market for that and Sony has some amazing medium format sensor (even bigger in size) they could use. Fingers crossed Sony will learn from Fuji’s success and offer a competitor in the years to come…

Today Sony will announce the new Burano Full Frame E-mount CineAlta camera. It will be interesting to see what new sensor tech Sony has developed for this camera. Sensor tech that might be the base for the soon to be announced Sony A9III? And just to recap what you can expect after the Burano announcement:

• Sigma will announce the new 70-200mm f/2.8 FE lens around October 6
• There will be more lens announcements from third party manufacturers (some of them actually very nice lenses!)
• Sony might have a lens announcement in October (still checking this!)
• Sony A9III will DEFINITELY be announced between November and January
