Sony camera registrations update: two more Sony cameras coming very soon!

Share

As you know Sony had registered three new cameras codes in China. One of them has now been confirmed to be the newly announced ZV-E1

  • WW694956 2.4GHz/5.1GHz Bluetooth (Sony ZV-E1)
  • WW542541 2.4GHz/5.1GHz Bluetooth (which I suspect to be the new High End APS-C camera).
  • WW198387 2.4GHz Bluetooth (should be something “video centric”)

And now a teaser: Today I am off hiking, but tomorrow I will start to post the next bunch of rumors about the A9III, new “video E-mount cameras”, new lenses and more! As usual kindly follow me on Youtube to get the info first!

Sigma 60-600mm review by Photographyblog: “another high-quality addition to the ever-expanding Sigma range of premium lenses”

Share

Preorders:
Sigma 60-600mm at BHphoto, Amazon US&EU, Adorama. Fotokoch. FotoErhardt. WexUK.

Photographyblog tested the new Sigma lens and concluded:

The 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports is another high-quality addition to the ever-expanding Sigma range of premium lenses for Sony cameras, and one that offers something markedly different to the other super-telephoto contenders. If you can live with the extra weight, bulk and cost, the ability to zoom anywhere from 60 to 600mm with a single lens is really compelling and hard to ignore once you’ve tried it for yourself.

At least some good news from Dpreview:

Dear readers,

We’ve received a lot of questions about what’s next for the site. We hear your concerns about losing the content that has been carefully curated over the years, and want to assure you that the content will remain available as an archive.
We’ve also heard that you need more time to access the site, so we’re going to keep publishing some more stories while we work on archiving.

Thank you to this community and the support you’ve shown us over the years.

Artificial Intelligence & Photography Survey (April 2023)

Share

My long time friend Andreas Jürgensen is asking the photographers opinion about the AI generated images and AI editing tools for photography. Please consider participating his survey at Surveymonkey (Click here).

Photography has changed a lot in recent years – especially through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Today, AI tools can optimize images, edit them and, since a few months, even create completely new images that look deceptively real.
What do you think of this development? Do you feel fascination for the technical possibilities or do concerns and rejection prevail when you think about AI and photography?
Maybe you are afraid that it will affect the authenticity and creativity in photography. Or maybe you’re curious and open to new tech possibilities and see AI as an opportunity to be more creative.
In this survey, we would like to learn more about what you think about this topic and what questions and suggestions you have.

We are curious about your opinion!
Andreas Jürgensen

P.S.: Join Andreas new AI-Imagelab forum to learn how to use AI to work with your photos.
