Panasonic announces price of their 4K GH4. Sony will have to make an “affordable” competitor.

Sony is going to release at least one (if not more) 4K cameras this year. And if you had the fear Sony would price it very high well….there is good news! Panasonic unveiled the pricing of their GH4 4K camera ($1,700 here at Amazon) and it’s actually very low! It’s $1300 less than the comparable Blackmagic 4K camera and $10,000 less than the Canon EOS 1D-C.

The Sony 4K A and/or E-mount cameras are supposed to be unveiled this summer. But I am not sure yet if it’s the A77 successor that will be the first Sony camera have 4K….
